Stupid stores don't post their Holiday hours

Yesterday, the wife wanted to do some Easter shopping. This shopping doesn't involve buying Easter related paraphernalia; just shopping on the day of Easter.

Anyway, before she wasted her time driving to stores that were closed, she decided to check on the Internet to see what was opened and what was closed. To her shock and annoyance, most stores don't post their Holiday hours. I'm not talking about the little shop around the corner; I'm talking about Home Depot, Borders, and Starbucks.

And why should they post useful information like that? I mean, what kind of pagans would be out on a Sunday, or even on... EASTER?!? I guess those stores just assume that everyone would be staying home finding eggs under the couch or in the kitty litter.

No way! It only makes sense to go shopping on Easter day while everyone is at home. There will be less traffic and shorter lines.

Stupid stores lose business
So my point of this whole thing is to say: Why spend millions of dollars on a website if you're not going to put valuable information on it? Anyone else who experienced the same problem as my wife is now just pissed at whichever store set up the uninformative website.

The only store that gets a thumbs up from the Manning household for posting their Easter hours on their website is Target. Too bad they were closed.

CVS lists on there site a pharmacy in downtown Cleveland as having Sunday hours. After calling for an hour I finally called the next nearest store to find out that the downtown store is never open on Sunday!

Why bother shopping in person. Big Al's gift emporium can cater for all your shopping needs.

I'm a man who knows how to locate certain items from time to time.

The point is that if the store is closed, they should say so on their website.

Have a nice Easter.

Most stores (of ALL types) close on Easter! I EXPECT them to be closed. We enjoy a little family time too.
