New low: Scalping Potter tickets

As if illegal activities hadn't gone far enough, I was witness to the scalping of Harry Potter tickets, last night at a sold-out showing of the movie. This type of activity is usually saved for baseball games, boxing, and other sporting events, but now even little kids movie's aren't safe. And guess what? There were some buyers.

I'm sure this sort of thing has happened before, but its the first I've heard of it.

I would guess that the only people who would try to get into a Friday night showing of an opening movie like Harry Potter are either optimistic or just ignorant. Either way, it looks like late comers will have the ability to get a ticket whenever they want from a scalper.

For those of you who want to see an opening show and would like to avoid the illegal route, there is always moviefone. I'm sure you've heard of it - the commercials have been running for years now.
