Took the test and it went through. No error notice. I wouldn't take this test too seriously, but I would recommend taking it. It was fun and boosted my ego (as I suspect it will most peoples). It was too short and too simple to be accurate. Of course they say no I.Q. test is really that accurate. They do want you to sign up for a more complete analysis and other things after you get your results. Promotion for money or public service? Hmmmm! But since that is optional, go for it. I better go check my e-mail since they have my address now. All I needed, more junk mail :).

I'm fairly certain the test has an error when the person gets a perfect score.

I scored 122 and after reading this page I went back and made sure I picked wrong answers ... when I went to see what my IQ was it gave me an error saying I missed more than 25. To funny. I too took an IQ test that was online a few years ago, which was more complex and I scored higher than this one. I am a Precision Processor according to TICKLE which really is a fun little page!

I got a c. 117 like two years ago. I took it again and got 122. The result of "insightful linguist" really matches me, and it was the one I got last time too.

I took the test. Having a psychology and psychometric background, I found that the test correlated fairly well with other, more reliable written tests. It's interesting, though, that there seems to be no mention of the non-randomized nature of test administration. Because of the way the test are promoted, the population of test-takers would be skewed toward those who enjoy figuring things out - i.e., people who would be most likely to accept the challenge of determining which shape was next in the sequence or which color didn't belong are people who enjoy intellectual challenges. Those who do not enjoy such challenges wouldn't participate, therefore, they would not receive scores about which they would spend hours analyzing, ruminating, and commenting.

And by the way, there is no upper limit to IQ, as traditionally measured. "Average" IQ correlates to a score of 100, so those of you who scored 122 are as far above the average as someone who scored 78 is below average. For more information on IQ and IQ scores, you should google a search on Stanford-Binet or other psychometric assessment instruments AND you should have a workable understanding of statistics, standard deviation, and the difference between mean, median, and mode - basic undergraduate information, accessible and understandable to anyone with an IQ above 100 (smile)

Well, my normal hours are between 9:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. and it is now 4:20 a.m. I know I am not thinking at optimal right now and I also took the test on Tickles in fact just finished it. Scored a whole 122. Now, my argument is strictly this:

Gee I am 32 years old and could really careless what I scored, at above or below. I found this forum in a google search and thought let's have fun. Am I surprised by the results nope did I expect the results, again nope. What I do say is simply this your IQ has no bearing on your life at all in reality. For instance with no prior knowledge of how a pc works just 2 years ago. I now work as technical support for a large Internet Service Provider in fact (the ONLY technical support). I can program in c + + and use all variants of windows and the unises to there fullest extent. Besides can design and implement mechanical and architectural construction from the ground up among everything thing else you can think of. Right, you may say. Well, true that is my burden of proof. My question is this. Was it my IQ that let's me learn this quickly with out school? Well, maybe because I lied earlier and I never sleep. Or is it my attention and growth on that attention? Merely as simple as my curiousity and willingness or eagerness to learn? I feel anyone who needs to be measured by an IQ test are simply sheep being steered by the ones in the know........ ;)

I took the "tickle" test aswell. I personally did not think the test was a crock. I have taken 2 other iq tests and i got highere buy five to nine then i did in the tickle. for thoose who think it is a crock well its you're own oppinion, but iq test are still not proven accuate. they are just a shot in the dark with some help, if you take an iq test under you're own consensess then you're iq is automatticlly smarter then aveage jut because of the fact you did the test and thought and analized the answers you know how to analize think about it..

this site ranks iq tests from superior to deficient. it looks professional to me. i took the top 3 tests and scored within 5 points of each other. i bet they're accurate. the worst tests are very funny. freindfinder uses an iq test to get people to sign up for their dating service!

To those people who have been bragging and also wingeing about their Tickle IQ test scores it's all a big crock, if people saying they got over 160+ think there so smart they should realise that IQ tests aren't even accurate especially the tickle IQ test nothing can really judge intelligence because there are many different kinds of intelligence. Hey anyone consider those people who are just good at doing IQ tests? IQ can only be accurate when it takes into account age, speed of response and background. So if you've never been a person who excelled at science but you have the ability to draw and design and paint then any test that does not measure those qualities will give you a low score. Re the race issue - we are all basically wired the same way so measuring an IQ is less to do with genetic or physiological differences than with upbringing and exposure to the elements that would give an advantage with IQ tests. Re the comment the max is 160 - it all depends which test you use and in some tests they restrict the maximum IQ based upon age. This means that a reasonably bright 15 year old could potentially score 170 yet a genius Rocket Scientist aged 50 will only ever max out at 161.

Maybe look up Gardiner's 7 intelligences and see which one you fit most closely to - your genius may not be maths or literature - your genius might be knowing what distance you can safely throw a ball to pass directly through the hoop.

I also think iq tests don't really measure one's true core intellectual capabilities.

Psychometricians think via figurative logic that by holding someone to only calculate and calibrate the images in a box, in and of its own universe without connections to other forms of understanding, they have essentially tested the person's basic brain functioning in its entirety.

It sounds like the majority of people get a 122. I also got a 122 but he main thing that I have to point out is that no IQ test is REAL. The producers of the IQ tests just interpret them as real. This whole measuring of intelligence is crap. I tried a number of dating sites looking for a date, but tickle.com has impressed me the most. According to their IQ test I'm a visionary philosopher. That hasn't always been the case. You start to become interested in philosophy when you have difficulties with girls. I took a number of other personality tests, and I was amazed by how right they were. They even figured out that I'm the youngest of 3 children. I recommended the test to a friend who turned out to be a precision processor. What is a precision processor? Is it someone who takes things slowly and watches details? Anyway, researching the precision processsor, I stumbled upon this forum.

Tickle.com was acquired by Monster.com a while a ago. In the same period the jobless claims were reported higher than expected, and Monster.com's stock price slid 10% to 18.00. My mentor recommend the stock as a buy, and I thought Monster.com and Tickle.com could create a synergy by offering IQ tests on Monster.com to select appropriate employees. Since then the stock has risen more than 50% to its current peak. Unfortunately I did not buy any stock.

People need to understand the nature of IQ tests such as tickle.
The test is designed in such a fashion that it can be understood by people of various ages. In doing, so most of the questions are puzzles or things that test how well a person can relate one object, word or number to another.

An IQ test of this nature does not test intelligence. The test is only useful for testing someone’s strengths of finding patterns.

Rather then using this test to determine your IQ, the test should be used to understand your ability to learn something without help (Noticing patterns or simple math problems teach this). If you do not score high or even average, do not let this discourage you.

I scored a 124. The "tickle" test is based on patterns, using words and illustrations. There are also some logic questions. I thought the test was fair, short, and entertaining. ha ha, I have been reading this thread for ages. The site is obviously giving everyone higher IQ's than they deserve, because just say everyone is being truthful (which cannot be true as people have made many contradictory points eg. the maximum score able to be obtained), but if everyone was truthful then 98% of the people who have written, including 7 year olds etc, have an above average (100) IQ. Given the fact that about 35 people have posted thier results i would say that this is a large enough sample size to give more resonable results. Obviously the point about people writing this possibly are more inquisitive naturally but still. I myself got 133, but took the 'national IQ test' a couple of years ago and a few others since then and usually get around 120, so that just illustrates my point. The clever business men who designed the site obviously know psychology quiet well as they have discovered that people are more likey to pay for IQ test result that say they are smart!! So all the test proved is that the guys from the tickle me IQ test, or whatever it is called, are good business men (who may or may no have high IQ's).

I don't understand why all of you are upset about scoring within the normal or average range. Normal or average is from 60 - 140. This is inside the bell distribution curve. If you were all getting 150 or 160 etc., only then would there be too many high results be suspect.

hi, i'm 9 years old and this iq test has nothing to do with how smart you are, it has everything to do with how good your concentration level is, and concentration levels change a lot in people, when they are depressed, stressed, psychotic, etc.
Some people are too lazy to use their brains sometimes, some people need a good reason to use their brain to the max, like say, if someone is trying to kill you, heck that will take the lazy out of your brain, you'll have to get smart to kill the killer before he kills you.

I had previously scored a 127 on the Emode IQ test when I first took it last november, and I feel that score is actually somewhat reliable because it's right around the test scores from the more reliable tests that I have taken(The one's that clearly didn't have a financial motive - or if it did, it wasn't obvious), such as giqtest.com or highiqsociety.com(although, I doubt the absolute reliability of this test).

But the weird thing about internet testing such as this is that I've received much MUCH different scores from the more popular, more well-known ones, suggesting that they can't be all that reliable. And the times I took the tests, the amount of stress/environmental stress was about the same.. So here's the results.(and I was in the gifted program when I was younger(which required a high learning ability which is one of the main definitions of IQ), and since IQ does not decline significantly as one ages, I can assume my IQ is fairly high)

Emode: 127 on a sucky day with much anxiety.
The same test two months later - 134.
Giqtest - 127(This is where you take the test, and then have to pay for the test before receiving the score or the run-down meaning their is little financial motive in showing an inflated score, and from what I've read, there is a 4% correlation between these scores and scores from standardized tests, so assumably it's fairly valid)
High IQ Society tests
Ultimate IQ test - 132, 6 months later, 142
Culture Fair IQ test - 134
Verbal IQ test - 137, 6 months later, 142 - (I'm laughing my ass off at this score.. haha, if you knew me in real life, in no way am I verbally inclined, or at least I don't chat that often)
Other various "normed"(although doesn't mean their valid) tests across the net report anything within the range of 125-140.

And recently, the scorelogix test reported a score of 152. A 152!! That's unbelievable! And I don't mean that's unbelievable as in that's too low of a score, I mean that's ridiculously high, too high to be believable!

So yeah.. that's Online IQ testing reliability for ya.

And in no way do I think I'm all that smart(maybe smarter than the average person, but not incredibly so much), even though IQ tests seem to think so...

So I won't go off and say that IQ tests are a bunch of crock as I do believe they measure something(learning), but I wouldn't stick much belief in online IQ tests and what they're purported to measure, and I wouldn't become discouraged if you score low. IQ is only one, small aspect of "intelligence", and there is much more to life that a test can't measure.... Such as sanity. :)

Look people. Try taking the test again only this time only answer the first option for all the multiple choice questions. You will get at least 80 if it scores you the same way it did me (which it should if it's accurate.) I answered "A" for all the questions. They are just trying to send you SPAM. iq tests online most of them not usually accurate. As a kid got a 85 iq at 6 six years old the reason was adminstred incorrectly. At 13 was 104 iq and 23 years old 107 iq. That average that most peeps. Average is 90-110

iq of above 120 im suspect of it. telling me the test is shooting out high iq scores to make the person look smart. in reality, only 10% of people supposed to get iq above 120, and 30% above 108. its suspect the online iq tests.

I took this test in the morning after 5 hours of sleep and got a 124. I took it again and got a 146. I think to see the actual true scores you should take this test in the morning with some sleep. I am probibly right around 124 which is supposed to be average.

I was amazed to see my self score a 138 when i'm used to scoring much higher on iq tests(145-155), I would agree with most people that have posted and say that this iq test is inaccurate. The reason that most of the scores are inflated, is probably due to the fact that after seeing yourself do so well, they think that your more inclined to pay your $10 or $15 to see why you are such a genius.
If you wanna take good iq test take a more challanging one,such as ones provided by high iq societys.

OK...I just took the test in a hurry at 12:00AM and got a 142 - Visionary Philosopher. In all honesty, the description fit me pretty accurately, and the score fell in line with one that I took seven years ago in my early 20's that had a couple hundred questions and a time limit. This test had me only a few points higher, which probably is true. Hard to say how accurate it really is for everyone, but I would say not bad for 40 quesitons and FREE.

Has anyone even compared the answer selection on the results and test? I couldn't believe that I could have missed it, so I went back to take it again and noticed that the answer selections on question #22 are not the sam answer selections as the answer key for the test. Well.. yeah 126 is considered to be good score. I got 127 IQ score from that emode test. Honestly, I feel like I am becoming slower than I used to. I am an University student.. and my subjects are pretty difficult for me.. so I believe that no IQ tests can really measure your intelligence. if you really want to know how smart you are. ask your family and friends. they'll tell you and you will get the idea.

i got a 122 aswell.....but you guys do realise that if you score high on an iq test it doesnt neccasirly mean that you are smart! I am currently taken my psychology degree and have been reseraching iq tests.... iq tests are flawed and were constructed for the middle class, also they are dated and finally half the ones on the internet are inaccurate and false.

In high school (I'm now 32, so this was a while ago) I took a "real" IQ test and got a 136. I assume by the score difference that either these Tickle IQ tests are a little easier than a real IQ test or I've gotten smarter in the last 15 or so years (which I suppose is a possibility as well).

Just from my own experience with real IQ tests and this one, I assume they are fairly accurate maybe just a little easier.

I've taken (in the last 10 years) five online IQ tests. Took a couple when I was extremely tired, barely keeping my eyes open. Why? Beats me.

In school (40 years ago plus and minus six years), I was given IQ tests three times that I'm aware of and was put in the gifted program throughout (though I took myself out of it for a couple years because I wanted to associate with "regular" kids. Funny, it was a lot easier to get straight A's in the gifted classes than it ever was in the regular ones.).

My school IQ tests had me in the 130s, from a low of 132 to a high of 138. My web IQ tests have given me a range of 128 to 142. Tickle today put me at 133. So I'm guessing that it's statistically pretty accurate as far as IQ tests go.

As pointed out by others, though, IQ tests don't test brilliance. They test the ability to perceive relationships or patterns--between words, numbers, shapes and so on. Brilliant people need to be able to detect patterns, but detecting patterns alone doesn't result in brilliance. In fact, brilliance is often a result of breaking or challenging a pattern or convention.

For what it's worth, I've been a high achiever all my life. And I've done a few brilliant things. And I've made some extraordinarily stupid mistakes. (And, I hope, learned from them.) And I tend to enjoy being around bright and creative people.

And I tend to believe that in general, higher intelligence is both a social handicap and something of a curse. The happiest, most satisfied and best adjusted people I have known have tended to be more in the "average" range as far as IQ scoring would go.

Well, I'm 13...I took the test at Tickle.com, and got a score of 131. Something about an Ingenuitive Mastermind or something.
Then I took the SuperMom Test, and ticked every answer that was the most horrible answer you could tick. The result: An Energetic Mom - or something. And it proceded to describe what a lovely person I was.
So I went to Google and did a search for I.Q. tests, and went to the top one. This time the TV was on, so I watched it while I tried to do the test - and got a score of 107.
All of these tests are different...some harder than others. How to know which is better, or which will tell you your real I.Q.?
The thing is - most of these websites - no matter how stupid you make yourself - or are when you take the test, they will give you an answer that will make you feel good...Bunch of B.S. if you ask me.

Ive done the real test and got 133. did the test on tickle and got the same... insightful linguist, i think.

i just did the test again and put in all the wrong answers and it came back with 71!!
its got to be somewhat accurate.

i did the test and got 120 IQ, apparently im a insightful linguist, from what i know linguist means you can speak many languages?! im only 15, so was my score high or am i just another stupid person.?!!

what does it mean to have an IQ of 122?? i just took a few tests for fun and each time i would score around this specific number. Also, does age have an effect on the number? For instance, I'm 16 and I scored 122 but would it be different if a 30 year old scored 122? if anyone has some answers for me that would be awesome :) lol i'm quite curious about this topic.

this iq tests depends in the mood of the person... just dont take it so seriouly. enjoy what you've got and make use of it :D! i dont care just be happy!

oh yes forgot to say iq tests depends also in what language they are made... if your language is not the same as your native one.. you better consider that you can get better score if you get a test with your language.. thats my case :)

i came across this site when looking for something else. to be honest with everyone reading this, it has been said by a lot of the top psychologists and psychological statistics keepers (i believe that they are called something like that) that internet tests usually (USUALLY) overshoot the iq values by 10 to 15 points (ha ha ha). oh and also; even on the odd occasions when they dont overshoot they undershoot!

-you see, im recieving psychiatric sessions and in the third session my psychiatrist gave me an iq test (it was 112 questions on eight pages (for those of you trying to figure it out its 14 questions to a page on average)) and i was scored with 176, that pute well beyond the average, and that i am like 1 in 982001 (there has only been an average of scored and predicted IQs at this value of 101833 in 50000 years (about five every one thousand years) and about 6110 scorers today and above the 99.9998916715049 percentile -this is my memory of what my psychiatrist said))

-anyway, i bet that you are wondering what i am getting at when you realize soon that yes it may sound like i am bragging, but in actuality im not. well here it is; most of my teachers consider me a bit dull and a trouble maker. i am like this because i get bored at school!! also, my cousins girlfriends friends brother was at school with my fathers brothers sons girlfriend twenty years ago, and he had an IQ of 193,and he failed education.

so, if there are some dull people who havent cuaght on yet, IQ stands for nothing on its own. yes having a score above 140 is fucking awsome, but if you dont have the determination to WORK HARD to complement it, it is nothing more than a number that you will be telling your fellow street dwellers (Hobos!). so here are the factors of intelligence (my own point of veiw, but you can trust them because i have done i little bit of reaserch on the matter(about ten minutes then i got bored and started playing with an ant that was walking across the desk):...
