My wife and I are in love with our DVR. She can record as many episodes of Coupling, Lost, and Desperate Housewives as she wants. I get to fast forward through the lame parts of wrestling and never miss an episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
This should be what DVR is all about, right? Skip all the commercials and crappy TV, while you watch only the good stuff.
Wrong.
I've found a new obsession that involves me DVRing the lamest of movies.
A few weeks ago I start scanning through some movie channels to see what was on them. I started selected movies to record. My wife watched me do this for about ten minutes until she said, "What the heck are you doing?"
"What?"
"You're recording some of the worst movies ever made."
I checked the schedule and she was right.
Not sure if there is a crappier line-up, but these are all movies I wasn't allowed to watch when I was a kid. Now I feel compelled to see them.
