Yesterday, I attempted to get coworker Mike to come to Wendy's with me. I've got a thing for their chicken nuggets.
He breathed in and said, "Oh man. I shouldn't go there." He acted as though I had just asked him to have a beer during work hours.
Since I pride myself at getting people to do stupid things they don't want to do, I pushed him. "Oh come on, man. You can get that salad mixed with chili thing you love so much."
His eyes got big. "That does sound really good." He stood up like he was going to come, then he quickly sat back down at his computer. "Let me check the calories."
Going to Wendy's website, he clicked several links to discover that the Southwest Taco Salad has 700 calories. "Holy crap. I had no idea. I can't do that, dude."
I begged and pleaded, but he said he was going to stick with his super-healthy tuna sandwich he brought from home.
As we headed to the lunchroom, we discovered that it was Hoagie Day at the office. We rejoiced and started grabbing sandwiches.
Over in the corner, I saw chili. Pointing this out to Coworker Mike, he quickly scooped himself a bowl which he used to dip his mayo-covered hoagie into.
Super healthy.
Today for lunch, we ended up at Wendy's to get him his 700 calories.
